For more than two years, Tarik Manzie has been a valued intern with the N.C. A&T Real Estate Foundation. Once commercial real estate piqued his interest after participating in the Project Destin program, which focused on increasing diversity in commercial real estate, Tarik began his internship his second semester of his sophomore year through his graduation in December 2023.
Tarik’s intern duties included filming health and safety videos for Aggie Apartment Life, assisting with apartment walk throughs, sitting in on meetings for the Foundation’s new mixed-use development, The Resurgent, and more. Not only was Tarik an excellent intern, but he also was a founding member and vice president of the Aggie Real Estate Society. He helped the society bring real estate professionals to campus to introduce and educate students about the industry.
Along with his fellow Aggie Real Estate Society members, Tarik’s work in generating interest in real estate among A&T students may be the catalyst to introducing a real estate curriculum to the University. Tarik leaves us to begin his new career with KPMG with a focus on real estate and affordable housing. His parting advice to students interested in the industry is to “network, network, network.”
Thank you, Tarik for your hard work and contribution to the N.C. A&T Real Estate Foundation.
