EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. – August 4, 2022 – The North Carolina A&T Real Estate Foundation (The Foundation) is excited to welcome back returning N.C. A&T students to campus for the 2022/2023 school year beginning August 14. The Foundation manages the off-campus Aggie Apartment Life student apartments and other real estate-related projects as part of its mission to support the University’s academic community.

Nearly 1,800 students will be moving into the five Aggie Apartment Life communities, including Sebastian Villages, Preeminent Pointe, Collegiate Commons, Campus Edge and Aggie Pointe, as many begin to navigate living on their own for the first time. The University provides housing for almost 50% of its students, which is significantly higher than the national average of 35%. In addition, to assist in the transition, The Foundation provides maintenance reference guides and launched a TikTok account filled with short videos designed to provide students with tips and tricks on maintaining their apartments, kitchen safety, personal safety and more. Students are also required to view an orientation video and pass a short quiz before receiving their keys.

“Videos are key in reaching our student body today, and we proactively wanted to give them a resource that would resonate with them – using current students and popular music in the videos,” said Kimberly Cameron, executive director – The NC A&T Real Estate Foundation.

Based on the growing need for student housing for NC A&T University students, The Foundation has been working to acquire more off-campus properties and expects to close on University Landing and University Park in the coming weeks, both of which are less than a half-mile from the main University campus. These properties will add a total of 350 beds to off-campus options by mid-September.

The Aggie Apartment Life move-in dates are August 14 to 16, giving students time to get acclimated before beginning classes on August 17.

Media are invited to film or take photographs of students moving into their new accommodations. Please contact Kimberly Cameron for further details.
